A Community of Practice
What is a Community of Practice?
A Community of Practice for Career Readiness will develop over time to access research, support practical conversations about what works, share lessons learned, prototype new resources, and gather feedback to adjust the implementation of college, career, and community readiness.
We'll explore a number of ways to support this community of practice based on feedback from the “users” of these resources (e.g teachers, career advisors, business partners, students, families, and other groups).
What is the Mode and Format of this Project
The mode and format of this work will adjust to the needs of the participants, including options such as:
- Website with resources for a range of users
- Newsletter (or similar) posts with practical ideas for career development
- Social media posts with practical ideas
- Videos and discussions to access around common issues
- Webinars and online meetings to discuss current topics
- Town hall or discussion forums as determined by partners and their priorities
We'll coordinate this work overall, working closely with each district and other partners to make sure the resources are timely, user-friendly, and practical.
